Department of Earth, Environmental and Geographic Sciences faculty members Dr. David Scott and Dr. Jeff Curtis teamed up to deliver a presentation on “Water Quality After Catastrophic Fire in a Watershed: Effects on Hydrology (D. Scott), and Impacts of Large-Scale Forest Wildfire on Water Quality (J.Curtis)” to members of the Water Supply Association of BC. This topic has been gaining attention following the unprecedented back to back fire seasons of 2017 and 2018. Water suppliers are interested in what the impacts will be on water supply and quality.
